Bye bye Norway

This is the last regular(if I might call it that) evening I have in Norway before I leave for Nairobi. I have almost finished packing, but I suspect I'll be emptying the entire suitcase and repack it again tomorrow. However I'm surprised how easy it was, after all the activity of "packing" is very closely related to "putting things in a box".

Getting REALLY ready is a different story, and is not at all related to putting things in a box. I know that I'll be going together with my three teammates, who I really look forward to spending this time together with. I really do! Those three are the only thing I know for sure when I'm leaving home now. Yes, I know that I'll be in Nairobi, yes I know that I'm going to be working in the slums, but I have no idea how Nairobi is and how working in the slums will impact me.
Yet still, leaving all the familiar and friendly and going into the unknown future doesn't frighten me, at least not at the point of writing this. Does this mean that I'm actually getting ready? Or that I'm not ready at all? I'm guessing, hoping and praying that it does.

I will agree with you on that tip. When you are told to pack the things that you will really need (not want) it is very suprising that it fits in such a small space.
I personally think that you are ready for this trip. Mentally your are ready and spiritually your are going to find your faith will have a much deeper meaning to you. This is awesome!!! Bye Bye Norway & welcome to the WORLD TORD...yay!!!!!
